Crocosmia in our garden this year...(ʘᴗʘ✿)

I cannot remember a year when this plant has looked as good …..we have always grown Crocosmia, but it has never been a resounding success…..until this Summer!!
I won’t be able to give you the names, because the plants have been moved so many times, all expect the last one which we bought recently, thanks to Shirley!! which is Norwich Canary!

We still have many more to come, sadly not Lucifer he has not put in an appearance this year, but was moved late last year…..

I hope you enjoyed this little ray of sunshine in our garden, I know we certainly have……thanks for looking in…

I moved one of my yellow ones recently because it was in too much shade. It doesn't have any flowering stems on it though, so nothing ventured.....I only have the yellow ones now. They get far too bulky for me. The yellow ones are a bit less thuggish I find. Lovely flowers though. I enjoyed seeing them Angela, thank you!

Wold you like some Lucifer a little later on?

I agree about the yellow ones, they have been the best of all my varieties.e

They are beautiful - it is our first year of them but I am very impressed so far.

A lovely display,Angela.I do love Crocosmia...my Lucifer's have already finished ,which seems early this year..I cut them back yesterday,as the foliage is so tall,it would only get battered in the expected Gales tomorrow ! I'm sure they will flower for you next year..tough as old boots, supposedly :o). I love the smaller yellow ones too.mine look similar to yours..I also have forgotten the name :o(

I have always had the common orange ones, they just fill holes and brighten things up, but was given some Lucifer which are still 'pending'. I did buy some yellow ones which are lovely, I am well impressed with those! Yours are lovely, they certainly brighten up the flower beds.

I too am a big fan of crocosmia which is a good thing because it does tend to take over certain areas of our garden! There is a lot of it around the pond which looks pretty amongst the ferns.
I have a container of the yellow one but no flowers on it as yet.

Ferns and Crocosmia, that sounds a pretty combination, Wildrose.

I love Crocosmia, yours are lovely to see, I have a lot and agree it is a really good year, they have even bounced back after all the gales we experienced during the weekend, my Lucifer was very early and is already going to seed, it isn't a thug here unlike the orange, wish it was as I would like some elsewhere in the garden, I have two yellows which haven't produced any flowers yet but going on other years they are always last....

Yours look lovely, but I have one of those gardens that crocosmias love too much and I'm forever digging them up. I sent lots of Lucifers to Spritzhenry a few years ago:-)
