Garage Project

My 60 year old garage has been slowly sinking and this spring my ancient door came off the track, almost trapping me and the car inside so action was necessary. The door was removed and then the inside of the framework was supported before the bottom was cut and up it went. A new cement floor was poured and new door and track installed . Am told that if I had waited another couple of years that the garage would have been beyond repair, so am pleased to have done this work now. A fresh coat of paint inside and out does wonders and I now have a tidy storage area for all the garden supplies and room for the car too. lol. Sadly my two clematis plants where not looking so good after being folded over for 3 weeks and had to be pruned quite severely, They will certainly come back where as I cannot ‘grow’ a new garage.
Though some of you might be interested in seeing the process.

Thankyou for your comments. I am glad that I finally got around to doing it since replacing the garage would have been very costly. It felt good to get rid of the extra clutter and organize things for easy access. It is so great in the winter to be able to put the car inside avoiding that extra cleanup when it snows.

This is looking lovely... sensible to have the work done before the winter is here.
