..It's funny you should say that Ian......the fence on one side had been put on a wee piece of our land (years ago)....the partner of the lady next door (permanent I hope) paid for an extension and decided to have a new fence......but without taking the old one down....of course it looks rubbish from our side...but when we take the old one down in the winter when everything has died down.....we will get our few inches back.......pinch it back.....lol

It's so satisfying to rescue an ailing plantand see it flourish. The 'lame dogs' often end up getting better treatment than th ones we pay plenty for in garden centres. There's nothing like a freebie!!

Well then Ian that sounds like permission from Alice for us to be 'silly'' but I seem to be in 'sensible' mood, must be lack of sleep.......yawn.
What 'other' forum is that then Alice, give me a clue. I've tried several but found them either stuffy,hard to navigate or just not appealing unlike GoY which is great in all ways from the first 'click'.

The other fourm....well I have to be biased slightly.....its the Garden News (wot I write for) and Garden Answers forum, liveforgardening.co.uk....er think thats the addy...~They are a great bunch of knowledgeable and lovely people and some of them are on 'ere as well. There are not so many countries represented....it is very easy to navigate.....come and see us some time.:))))

Repotted the rose today and gave it a light haircut..
