Conifers have come down!

I finally got round to getting my 30-40 ft conifers taken down. It took three tree guys 8 hours to get them down!
I am going to do soil test this weekend and depending on what it says will add Lime to recondition the soil. The plan is then to replant with a native hedge in the spring.
Saw that Homebase were doing chicken pellets half price and wondered if that would be good to dig in?

Wow, you'll have so much more light. Glad you got the experts in to do the job. Our neighbour had a mate cutting down one of his and it fell onto a power line and brought it down across our drive. We had our own personal power cut for four hours!
You'll have plenty of timber for lots of raised beds there!

Wow that's made a lot of difference. I love watching tree fellers at work, I find it fascinating.

They did any absolutely superb job and also used their stump grinders which was interesting to watch! He told me the grinder cost £24,000! Impressive bit of kit, I must say!

That will make such a difference to your garden, eeverything else will romp away, as I know from personal experience how much goodness and light they take from ones garden....

I'll bet the neighbours are glad they're gone.

What a heck of a difference that will make to your garden Amsterdam.
I don't know the answer to your question - possibly better to add it to the question's page.
