Batten down the hatches ☔️🌧🌬

According to weather forecast tomorrow will be a very windy and wet day. Been out to stake my dahlia’s as the 40 mph winds can cause quite a lot of damage. Lots of heavy rain and strong winds….. Bet my apple trees will be stripped of apples! Have been doing huge clearouts at home over the last few weeks. Started with the garage as the floor needed painting, the utilityroom, sons teenage bedrooms….. the only place I haven’t got round to is the garden shed! The reason is that both my sons and husband are terrified if spiders 🕷 and there is a good chance there might be a few of them in there! Lol Every excuse has been used to wriggle out of giving Mum a hand! Talking of my boys, I took them to a free CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) screening, as every week in the Uk at least 12 apparently healthy young people aged 35 and under die from undiagnosed heart conditions. Happy to report that cardiologist gave them the all clear! Hope the weather where you are won’t be too destructive…..😕

Thanks Amsterdam. We are getting rain, but not the wind, thank heavens!

You've been busy . It's good to have a clear out sometimes.

I hope the weather isn't going to be as bad as you say. The summer seems to have disappeared, although it was a bit too hot for me in the heatwave.

I'm glad your sons tests were clear. I think it was a good idea to take them, now you have peace of mind.

Ooh, I'm not a fan of Spiders either so good luck with clearing the shed! I would have a long handled broom to hand for putting them out in the garden, the further away the better.

I just looked at the CRY sessions around the UK and was pleased to see that almost all are fully booked ... :o)

Rain and wind forecast for late morning down here ... :o(

I support CRY as my daughter was undiagnosed until her late 20's when she then kept passing out in dangerous situations such as the undergroun but no one thought it was serious. Eventually we paid for her to be investigated and the heart problem was identified and treatment started.

Our shed clearance resulted in two trips to the Tip. Daughter and her friend took everything away and cleared the areas for us. I go in now just to admire the result!

Seriously, isn't it amazing how clutter accumulates?

CRY: Better safe than sorry. Should be more widely publicised. I hadn't heard of it.

Rain has subsided and I will go out into the garden to check for any damage. Garden shed still not done .....

I hadn't heard of Cry either. Jolly good plan to get the young checked out & any problems found early. I hope your daughter progresses well with her treatment Drc726.
