Snow, snow ...

We had an inch or two of snow fall on Sunday 24th January it was probably the most snow we have had since 2010. We have had some snow on occasions since then but this may have been the most in 10 years.
Here are a few photos I took during the day, mostly from our balcony.
During the heavy snowstorm on Saturday 23rd:
A rare & beautiful sunrise seen from our bedroom window
who could have imaged a couple of hours later the heavy snow that would fall during most of the daylight hours!
The snow is just getting underway here (Sunday 24th):
Here’s the snow falling around midday,(Sunday 24th):
A couple of photos of the settling snow as seen from our balcony on (Sunday 24th):
Today, Monday 25th, we have had a beautifully brilliant sunny day which has melted a fair bit of the snow. The day started with -4C but didn’t reach 0C till about 1pm. Now at 3.30pm we have 2C but in a couple of hours it will be back to freezing once again!

We've had about that much too Balcony - enough to make paths slippy and not enough to be pretty! However I'm not begging for more, are you? But o dear the wind was cold this afternoon...

It has been really cold here too. Not much gardening being done.

Thank you all for your comments. :)
Like you Seaburn, we also had -5C on Sunday! But what a beautiful day it was! Not very often we see skies of such a deep blue!
It certainly was a terribly cold day! Now, Weds, & tomorrow, Thurs, we can expect some warmer weather but also more rain! :( This coming Sunday we expect it to be colder again - though not as cold as last Sunday, or as sunny!
Thank you for the compliment on the sunrise photo, Yorkslass! It's very rare to get a sunrise like that here. We do sometimes get some very good sunsets. As our bedroom window faces more or less East the moment the sun comes up it illuminates our room! Lovely in winter but not quite as much in midsummer!

We are really lucky on the east coast as it's not often we get snow!

We had -5C overnight and it hasn't got above 0C at all today. It has been a beautiful blue sky day however and great for a fresh air walk..
