Huntingdon is celebrating after striking gold in the region’s In Bloom awards, with judges praising the high level of community participation.

Here are a few of the pictures I also took of the Apollo Moon Mission display during the summer of 2019:

This was the very first picture I took:

14th June 2019

5th July 2019

2nd August 2019

This one is the very last photo I took before the display was dismantled to put in the winter/spring 2020 display:

19th September 2019

I also took some photos of the Concorde display, which also celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2019:

Again here is the very first picture I took on 30th May 2019:

21st June 2019

3rd July 2019

6th August 2019

Here is the very last photo I took on 19th September 2019:

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go to St Ives during 2019 due to the national lockdown due to the Coronavirus so I don’t have any photos of St Ives even though it is only 5 miles away!

I thought St. Ives was in Cornwall, but then there might be one in Huntingdonshire for all I know.

19 Mar, 2021

should that have been 2020 not 2019?

19 Mar, 2021

You are quite right, SBG!

There is a St Ives in Cambridgeshire and in Cornwall!

21 Mar, 2021

So now I know. The one in Cornwall is very nice. I wonder which one the man with 7 wives was going to?

22 Mar, 2021

The one just 5 miles from Huntingdon! There is a pub in the town called "The Seven Wives"!

23 Mar, 2021

That would make a great quiz question!

23 Mar, 2021

I think you will find it does indeed come up quiz questions as they ask how many people were going to St Ives!
