Balcony Summer 2021

Goodness Balc such a beautiful show!
Love the hanging baskets, and all the troughs. You've been very busy and it is looking fabulous. Yes I can.see the difference between the photos taken a few hours apart, the white flowers have opened..
I bet from inside it looks just as wonderful.

Beautiful display,Balcony,and such a variety of lovely plants and colours.. Is the difference in the plants ? as there seem to be some yellow ones in picture 3,and replaced with white ones in photo 4 ? I have studied them again,and I can't find anything else that is different..

Yes Sandra, that must be it! You Balc, you repotted those with the yellow plants with new white ones. I thought they'd just opened in the Sun..haha...

I noticed the terracotta pots on pic 4. Is that the difference?

Agree with Sandra, that's what I thought too. Are they Petunias?

The answer is I replaced all but two of the yellow Alliums on the balcony railing with white Petunias! Even those two have now been replaced with more white Petunias! And a third pot has been put in as I had a couple of Petunias I didn't know what to do with. Fortunately I have a few more aluminium rings that are smaller that the majority on the railings. I was missing a terracotta pot so had to use a 6" plastic one & one of the rings I hadn't used before fitted the pot perfectly!

I will upload a photo tomorrow of the balcony I took today. I have finished all my plantings & repotting - for the time being! LOL! In about a month's time the balcony will probably be at its best - at least I hope so!

I think I will edit this blog & add today's photo to it.

It's looking good already and will look even better in a few weeks I'm sure :)

I've now added the picture I took on 24th June 2021 with the last 3 Petunias in pots on the balcony railings included.

Yorkslass. Yes, I'm still growing tomatoes but they can't be seen from the shots of the balcony from outside - yet! Even so they have nearly reached the bottoms of the windows & in another couple of weeks will be visible behind the flowers on the balcony railings from outside the balcony! 😃

Looks amazing,what a lot of work has gone into that but well worth it to see the results

I also bought a flat of petunias with no plan for what to do with them. They are bright red and white and the price was right, I couldn't pass them up. I eventually found them a place to live - no regrets. There's always room - once I pull a few weeds and a plant or two I don't want anymore.

We can always find a bit of "extra" room for a plant or two! 😂 😂 😂
