Guerilla Gardening II

As GoY won’t let me add more photos to my first blog on Guerilla Gardening I’ve decided to start a 2nd instalment!

This morning I went to water the planters & while I was at it I gave them a good weeding! As you will see by the pictures I took before & after there were a great many weed seedlings (mostly). It took me about 15 mins to do each of the 2 with the Geraniums! The one with the Cosmos & Sunflower I left alone! (The WC for the local moggies!)

Many of the stems of the Cosmos were thick with blackflies! But I guess they will have to put up with them!

I may, possibly, do another blog at the end of September!

Thanks for the update, your efforts are showing results, and I'm sure brighten up the area

Will you let the cosmos self seed there, or plan different for next year?

Thanks, Grandad for your encouragement! πŸ‘ As for the Cosmos being left to self-seed I don't think so. Though if any seeds make it through next year's planting, provided they don't mess up what I think of doing then, can stay! Rather like the self-sown Sunflower! At the same time I have to be aware of what the Town Council gardeners do next year, after all they are responsible for the planters not me! Though I may plant late I will have to wait & see what they do - if anything!

I've bought some bags of Daffodils to put in them but I don't want to be spending money if I can help it. Especially as they may be pulled up by the gardeners!

It’s nice that you are doing this. Have you asked your council if they intend doing anything with the planters for Spring, or any time?

No, I've not got in contact with them.

It's good that you put the photos in a new blog because nobody would have known about them if you'd added them to the old one, there is no way of letting people know about things like that.

Thanks for that Hywel! πŸ‘ I took a few more photos this morning!
