New for 2012 (Beatrix Potter)

Last autumn it was decided that some garden characters would add to the gardens appeal, and this would be a winter project,I have always been fascinated with Jemima Puddle Duck so that was the starting point,Past Times do a good model but an uninteresting bronze finish not at all what I had in mind as you will see, a further 3 ducks were purchased in Scotland these had no accessories so resin putty was used to form three hats a scarf and shoal.
To finish it off I have made a set to feature them on.The bath tub has been around for some time unpainted and at the end you can see what I first used it for.
Terratoonie has a lot to answer for as it is seeing her garden that puts ideas in my head.but love them anyway.
Recycled bath tub from 6 years ago,he would have a job to get his bum in it now
This only the start of the story others will follow,Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is already receiving similar treatment complete with cloths line and baby and ideas are developing for Peter Rabbit all to be finished by end of March when I move back out side and start gardening proper
Should add that once outside there is a miniature water lily to go in the bath and another plant to go in the plant holder top right on the deck

Wow, inspirational!
I have Jeremy Fisher by my pond, but he is much smaller. I bought him as a 'paint your own' kit in a sale quite some time ago, so nowhere near as much craftsmanship involved as in yours.
Can't wait to see these and Mrs. Tiggywinkle established in your garden .... there will be photos, won't there?

I,ve a fairy at the bottom of my garden but she,s not a patch on Jemima &co, will look for more of your lovely characters especially. Mrs Tiggywinkle....

Fabulous. Lots more characters to join them, your garden will be full. Maybe you could open it as a southern alternative to Hill Top. I'm rather fond of Pigling Bland - and his seven siblings!

Ginellie. I have Pigling Bland but not sure if he will get the full works this winter, depends how much snow we get

Look forward to seeing him eventually then, and many others I hope.

I just wonder, Bjs, did you ask him to enter that bath tub full of cold water? Because the bottom picture looks like he is telling you with his eyes:"Please, here am I and I will do whatever for you" :)

Haha. I had foxterrier long long time ago. Her name was Asta. She was my baby :) She was very intelligent, she liked to canoe with me. Unfortunately, she was shot by a guy whose chicken she "bited" a little.
