Lucky you, I'm banned at the moment because of our holiday next month - but there's still the visit to the Tatton Flower Show at the end of the month -the ban will just have to be lifted for one day lol.

mine was geranium pratense hocus pocus,i had only enough change in my purse for the loaf of bread we had gone out for.but I have been looking for one of these for some time now. Who can say no to that lovely dark foliage so twisted hubbys armfor the money to get it (and promised him steak for tea) then had to nip down on my bike at tea time to get potatoes. you know how minor things just fly out of your head when a special plant comes in sight

I have the answer to how to resist, a very grumpy hubby, (not really his fault as he leaves for work at 12.45pm) waiting outside in the car, hungry and tired is not a good combination, I have time to browse when I go on my own, lol....

Well you can't just buy one cos it would wobble over in the boot, that's the reason we have to buy several plants at a time.

You can always say the magnetic field of the earth has moved that would be a good excuse they look great Sandra I m still laughing.

I'm just the same, Bllomer - seems like a magnet is pulling you towards them doesn't it ? I did very well this week though, as I looked at some plants in Asda and didn't actually buy one - how good is that ?

I always think it's silly not to look when you are in there, such brilliant bargains. I resisted the Lobelia yesterday Bloomer but came out with Salvia sensation deep blue at £2.00. Love that shop!

The Lobelia ended up in my trolley as well Bloomer, earlier this year I got one of there summer bulb collection's reduced to £1 50p and it is coming along a treat, (10 gladioli, 10 acidanthera and 1 dahlia in burgundy and white)

We have something else in common then Hywel,as well as GoY.I was told many years by a gypsy..the ones who used to come round selling pegs..remember them? ..that if you are left handed,however hard up you are,something will always turn up..and it has always been true in my case..coincidence maybe,but it always stuck in my mind..and I can be quite cynical at times..Lol.

It's great isn't it? such good value..I am looking forward to it flowering...Glad your others are coming on well.My Acidantheras are growing well,but I believe they flower later in the summer..so just looking at strappy leaves yet..some of them a bit ragged with the strong winds !

Yes Bloomer still just leaves but good healthy looking one's and the dahlia has some bud's.
