Tenby in bloom..

We have just had a lovely few days,in this pretty seaside town in Wales,so thought you might like to see the flower beds around the area..and other local attractions..Everywhere was so well kept, and such a very clean place too..no Rubbish,no Graffiti,no dog mess…what a refreshing change..and the most beautiful beaches…our Hotel was built into the cliffs,so had the most wonderful views to look out on..and only one afternoon of heavy rain..so we were very lucky..We have visited Wales many times, but never this far south..so all new to us..and a shame its a very long journey…but so glad we made the effort,as we visited some lovely places..
A walk on the seafront first..and most of the Bedding plants were beautiful Begonia’s..so colourful.
The seats in this area were made from pebbles on the beach..great idea, and were quite comfy too…
This was our Hotel and pretty high up,as you can see..but what views to wake up to.We were above the middle angled windows, and the roof was a big patio we could walk out on..
Views of the lovely beaches, and looking across to
Calder Island. We went on a boat trip there. It is inhabited by monks..but that’s another blog !
Our regular visitor..cheeky thing, looking in at us..it seemed to spend most of its time on the patio with its mate..but it wasn’t a problem ..probably knew no one woud be feeding it.I got quite fond of them,by the end of the week !
A walk to the Harbour now,and a view of the town on the way.lots of quaint little streets to wander along..as we made our way to a place called Castle hill.I can’t forget it’s name as we have a Castle hill ,near to us,too.
A walk back on the beach,to look at all the lovely cliffs and caves..
Just me having a nosey in a cave..no change there then..didn’t find anything !
Hope you enjoyed the round trip with us..go on,have a paddle..its not that cold! ( it was, really ) Lol.

Bloomer, thanks for putting this on. As you may remember, I stayed in a caravan here with my lot a couple of years ago and we all loved it. I think I could live here it's so lovely. Your photos are fantastic, I'm so glad you had such a lovely time. We found quite a few nice places to eat there too. This years family hols to Dawlish Warren, not such a success. Everywhere there were what is euphamistically called 'amusements':-( I think Tenby, although a tourist town, is rather unspoilt and the locals are lovely too:-)

What a beautiful place Sandra. Loved looking at your pictures, beautiful beaches, and not many people about. Just my scene. I am going to the north wales coast in September, really looking forward to it.

We have had a couple of holiday there Sandra when the children were small , I remember they disappeared into that cave in the middle of that rock in their dingy , I was terrified waiting for them to come back out . it is a lovely pretty place .... I'm glad you had a nice time :o)

Not been there for years , it is looking wonderful ! We will have to go again soon. We spent a couple of weeks in Saundersfoot in a caravan when we were just married , and we explored Tenby at length .
More recently we took the children and that time we went out to Caldy , but the girls had to stay outside the monastery .
Altogether a good place to visit given reasonable weather , pleased that you had such an enjoyable time B . It is a bit of a treck ,but worth it .

I like the look of this very much, Sandra, no 'kiss-me-quick' type places, clean, unspoilt and very, very pretty. Had to smile when I read your caption 'This was our hotel' as I thought you'd stayed in a castle! That'd be me looking at the wrong pic then ... lol! Like your Seagull pic, but don't encourage them, they're greedy little beggars . . . . .

Tenby is beautiful isn't it. I'm glad you enjoyed. It's about 50 miles from me but I haven't been there for years.
You could have visited Sandra. She lives in Pembrokeshire aswell, and not to far from Tenby :o)

What wonderful comments from you all..thank you very much.I'm pleased that it brought back a lot of happy memories for those of you that have been there over the years, and for those of you that haven't been yet,I do hope you get there one day..I would love to go again, even though it is a long way for us..but we did go on a coach tour,so Russell didn't have to drive all that way..we don't do long distance any more..We never tire of Wales, and have gone to a lot of different places over the years...and have enjoyed them all...:o)))

Our Sunday school trip always went there every year - so I got a bit fed up with it when I was a kid lol .....

I wonder if we passed anywhere near you,Hywel..I could have given you a wave from the coach ! Lol.I had forgotten that Sandra lived in Pembrokeshire..that would have been nice.We only had one free day..as we were taken on excursions ,so quite a full schedule...maybe next time :o)..I'm sure you did get fed up of it on your school trips...you can have too much of a good thing,so it's said..but I bet you would love it now..:o)

Lovely blog, glad you had a nice time, have spent many an hour over the years down here, used to stay in Saundersfoot. (First went there when i met my now hubby in the 80's )Always remember going to Radio 1 Roadshow on Tenby South Beach, was only in my teens, wasnt too interested in the scenery then lol, last time we went was about 2004. Remember most of the places in your pics, and that bandstand and island, also remember going to Caldey Island years ago, when we got to the beach the other side, was so hot and felt like a totally different place. (that was when we used to have summers ) :^)

Some lovely memories for you as well,Daylily..glad you enjoyed it...we went to the Island too,I am going to do a blog on it soon..lovely place..:o)
