This morning took a look at my fatsia japonica, and to say its the last day of October, there was lots of insects on it , took all my time to get a photo as they where so busy rushing from one part of the plant to another part of the plant.
Sorry they are not to clear.

Ideal for a late burst of energy Clarice some insects may hibernate over winter and this will be a great boost to them.

Our ivy similarly covered.

I love to watch the insects in the garden. I have an Erysimum "Bowles Mauve" and throughout the Summer its always covered in different types of bees. I would like to have a Fatsia but I don`t have the space for one. :o(

Have a look at the variegated one, posted by Bonkersbon, Labdancer, it's smaller and might fit in somewhere :)

With Fatsia, do they need to mature for a few years before they flower? I bought one new at start of year and it not flowering at moment.....
