xxx Hi everyone, we've just completed 150 kilometre round trip to the Hospital, just been seen by the Surgeon, and sent back home till Wednesday pm...they can't fit me in for tomorrows OP, that's a first here for me...so disappointed tho I am, I am glad to be home with a large mug of T....and to rest...and do it all over again on Wednesday. "sigh"..then I probably won't be Home till the Weekend...

Morning all,
Just popping in before we start preparing for the second trip to Hospital...time goes round very quickly...I meant to say before, normally they would have operated in the Hospital/Clinic at Saumer, but because August is the month when most French have their Vacation, a Surgeon wasn't available, so I have been sent out of the Region...quite a posh Clinic too...seems very nice, and I have to provide my dressings from the Specialist who ordered up - the Ops...strange that, something to do with this being a Private Clinic...and funding etc, not much difference there then....So glad I have Medical Insurance...
Feeling quite upbeat, and will be glad when it's all over...

Hi everyone...

Just to say, I'm getting there...Not a nice experience, and very painful, lots of heavy bruising...and they operated on both legs in the end, as the other leg was looking iffy...The heat hasn't helped, and it's been too hot to go outside until yesterday...lots of walking exercises, and the last of the dressings are off...thank goodness...I didn't get on with the Anesthetic at all, and spent days after being sick...
Still don't feel up to much, wish I did...and I see the Surgeon for a follow up on the 7th September, so hoping for good news....Can't straighten my left leg, and Physio is painful...Oh well, at least it's over now....looking forward to better days, tho I won't be posting much...I'm giving it a rest for a while...

Here's hoping everyone is well, and enjoyed the Bank Holiday in the UK...
