Just a short one…Freckles one of our cats gave birth today…and after what was a very early start, and a long wait…she had her first, which was breach, and we lost it..Followed swiftly, by number two, then an hour later number three…She has two healthy babies, and I have flat bum…sat sitting with her from start to finish, being supplied with endless T by OH…anyway while Mum was stretching her legs, we got three shots for you..
Enjoy…

Born 14th May 2012…just a few hours old….

Crissue @ it is nice you were sitting with your cat-mother during delivery :) And although I am a physician, I never did it. I do not know why. Maybe lack of love to cats? For some reason I have respect to natural forces and let them manifest, lol. I always felt that it is very "private" matter of my cats and I respected that privacy, although one of my cats (which I saved from garbage bin), she often looks for me before delivery and tries to find a suitable corner in my room, lol.

Good Morning everyone....So glad the babies met with you...They are Tabbies, which is great just like Mum...
She and them are doing well this morning, and Mum has told me all about it, in her own special way, There's a sparkle in her eye...and she is proud for sure...

This wasn't meant to be...Freckles is eight years..and while she was just coming into season, we kept her in, but she escaped, once, and that's all it took...She had had a Cyst removed several months ago...and is normally on birth control...

I would love to keep them, but that would make six...but we'll have to see...I'm sure we wouldn't have a problem finding good parents for them, but I'll enjoy them for now...they smell so nice, and clean and new..
And lots of pics in their progress for you all, two more little flowers for GOY...

On a more serious note, for those friends that know our Sweetie has been very poorly, she has Lymes disease, and is being fed by syringe, a full time job for OH and I, + medicines etc...I have just fed her, and there is just a spark of improvement, ie, she was interested in the food, which is one of her favs, beaten egg...Lymes disease leaves the sufferer very fatiqued, and unable to eat...I've also sent for an Holistic recovery aid granules to help her, which has been highly recommended...

Kat, there is a very high level of trust between my Cats and I, and anything I can do to help them, even just to sit and be there in case of emergency, or just company, it's what they're like..I would dearly have loved to help her with her breach birth, but knew I couldn't interfere, and left it to nature...all's well, and me bum is back to fat again lol....

xxx to all...

Hi Pix, and thanks, they have come through their first 24 hours, and Mum, has barely left them today, she was very tired too poor love...

Sweetie, it's a day by day thing with her, but we are doing our best to get her through it bit by bit...

Crissue, how about Nutella? It seems your house is very busy now, isnĀ“t it? :)

15 May, 2012

Morning all, lovely here, fresh but nice...

Just a quick update, sadly lost one baby in the night, the one that was born directly after the still born breach, maybe it was too much for it...still nature knows best...hopefully, the remaining baby will fare better...
Everything else is fine...

16 May, 2012

Hi Crissue, what a stressful time for you, but nature does normally know best, must have been something wrong with the poor little kitten who died. Hope Sweetie makes a full recovery, you both deserve a break:-)

16 May, 2012

Hi Bornagain, and thankyou, you're right it is a very stressful time for us, and we're trying so hard especially with Sweetie, it is so hard for her...
Shame about the little kitten, any loss of young life is so very sad...
If the other one survives, we'll keep it...just fingers x'd all round at the mo...

16 May, 2012

Fingers crossed here too for you xxx

16 May, 2012

Good luck with the remaining kitten. Very distressing to lose the other two - poor Freckles. Hope Sweetie makes good progress. You have a lot on your hands and that gorgeous little one will soon be keeping you extra busy.

Thanks Pam and Tueday...we're trying our best, for sure, just come back from the Vet again with Sweetie, she has upped the dosage on her antibiotics, and prescribed Cortisone too...so we hope this will help more...

Ooh hope Frecks looks after her baby for as long as, our hands are full at the mo, tho we make sure frecks gets a cuddle, and lots of nutrition, and keep an eye on babes too...
Glad of the support here...:o))))
