A visit to Ashwood Nurseries

I’d got the day off work today so I thought I’d have a wander around Ashwood Nursery. There were lots of hellebores and plenty to see, I took a couple of photos as I wandered around the nursery gardens (not the private gardens, hoping to go to those soon aswell as John Massey has open days through the year).
Thought I’d treat myself so bought a fern that I’ve had my eye on for a damp shady part of my garden, Crytomium fortunei.
I very much enjoyed the wander as I haven’t been there for a while although its only a couple of miles away from me.
This euonymus looked nice and bright and so did the others,
lovely white hellebore,
Pretty primula
Cornus midwinter fire I think,
Lovely specimen of Prunus Kojo no mai
Thanks for looking :))

Did you pop in the cafe? cannot go to Ashwood without a visit to the cafe and buy a plant......I noticed John was giving a talk on Hepaticas the other day, shame we are so far away, we were given a lovely Ashwood calendar by my SIL who lives in Kidderminster nice to keep in touch ....

Hi DD I didn't go in the café, I must admit I very rarely do if I'm on my own, I did see John on my way out I heard him talking to someone, I think I might go to the next open day on 25th April, getting lots of inspiration from your garden actually, enjoying looking at your beautiful photos, the calendar sounds lovely :))

Lovely to see the nurseries Daylily - thanks - you're lucky to live near to such an inspiring place. My OH took me once (nearly a 3 hour drive) and even he was impressed with John's garden! Like Dotty, one of the best we've ever seen.
