The joys of a brief walk around my garden this afternoon.
Hemerocallis ‘Summer Wine’
Not sure, but I think it’s a Fritillary.
Red Admiral I think.
Peacock
Allium sphaerocephalon
Godetia
Hoverfly visiting another Hemerocallis but can’t remember it’s name
Rose ‘Summer Song’
Rose ‘Brother Cadfael’
Larkspur
Echinops with a another visiting hoverfly
Antirrhinum
One of the many busy little bees on the Erysimum ‘Bowles Mauve’
Lilium Brunello
Crocus Rose
Gaura
Veronica
Heuchera ‘Caramel’
Lilium ’Netty’s Pride’
Not sure what this little chap is but he’s certainly got a handsome face. Perhaps someone may be able to identify him for me?
And last -
Scruffy little fellow aint he?…

After a bit of research I've discovered that the handsome little bird is a crested tit. Never seen one before so I'm very he decided to visit and I hope he comes again.

Your garden looks fabulous Df. I must buy some godetia seeds for next year, I always had them at my old garden, peachy coloured ones, so thanks for the reminder. loved all your pics, I've gone a bit 'rose struck' this year...can't get enough of them, what a beauty Cadfael is. I love your heuchera too, do you do the topiary? very effective. :-)

Lovely photos! The butterfly you say you think is a Skipper is a Comma. The wings of a Skipper are rounded, whereas the wings of a Comma are jagged.
Lovely creatures. :o)

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. I'm pleased you all enjoyed seeing little bit of my haven.
Thanks Nariz for your info on the butterfly. I've never had one in the garden before so wasn't sure.
Bornagain, Brother Cadfael also smells devine. It's a David Austin rose and my favourite.
