I’ve just spotted a very cheeky squirrel, half way up one of my strawberry canes. Having been out to inspect them, the little b****r has munched his way up two canes and chomped his way through all the new growth on them! Methinks I need to go out and buy some protective netting today…

sprinkle chilli powder or flakes around -- it works on rabbits.....

Thanks Terratoonie. I have sprinkled some chilli flakes around as suggested by Pamg, so we'll see what happens now!

Sounds like a plan. Squirrels are so determined and do alot of damage in my garden too diggin. I cant quite forgive them biting the heads off my tulips and they have a real thing for camellias!!! Now wheres my spud gun????
