Milenium Dome
Dome is very built around now
Gas tower dominates this old multi floor building
This empty gas tower looks quite good as the photo does not show the rust

The entrance to the old Blackwall tunnel built 1892-97
St Clement’s Hospital thankfully now closed. Is one of the final and long overdue breaks with the Victorian Asylums, this hospital was a work house first, Extraudinary that workhouses being designed as the most unpleasant places, to discourage inmates were then thought suitable for the mentally ill? The work house act lasted till 1929.
Returning home now the new Blackwall tunnel

This is a bit wider than the old one but still tight!

i enjoyed it to Drc,, whats in the dome now, thought it was being dismantled at one point

Thanks that was a nice trip don't go to London very often the thought of driving in London fills me with dread your brave!!
Sanbaz -the dome is now the O2 Arena.

Its a proper venue now Sanbaz used a lot for concerts etc. I love driving Sueb will go anywhere if I can go by car.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane Drc - Bermondsey, Rotherhithe (Blackwall), Greenwich and Blackheath was where I spent the first 20 years of my life. Still have an uncle and a couple of cousins in the area, but the rest of the family moved out to 'the sticks' - none as far as me though ! :-)
