A pootle round my garden.

I haven’t been around for a while I know & my garden hasn’t changed much since last year but I thought I’d just invite you to a quick meander about.
I’ve planted up some pots now I hope the frosts have backed off …
I just had to buy some Michaelmas daisies but put them in a pot as the last 2 I had in the ground keeled over & died!
For a change I got some geraniums … I don’t always like them but this year they are in favour!! There are some very vibrant colours around.
I discovered Mimulus again too … I used to grow these years ago but haven’t had any for ages … the slugs love them tho’!
Now some violas, nemesia (?) & a lovely tulip … one of 6 large ones that I planted in a pink moment last year!
Bracken & tinkling toadstools, a plant I’ve forgotten the name of & an aqualegia
Anyway, it was a lovely day … the washing dried beautifully, the hammock’s ready for a kip & the barby had a fresh coat of paint ready for summer action!
Thanks for joining me … the cats were following me about all day but maybe that’s another blog! :o)

Your garden is lovely with so many colourful plants :o) Funny you should say slugs eat your mimulas. They leave mine alone.

That's good ... more pootlers! Thank you for your comments ... it took ages to download the photos onto GoY ... don't remember it taking so long last year but maybe it means lots more folk are doing the same thing which is good!
I go out at every night to remove slugs 'n' snails Hywel & the little beige ones are all over the mimulus.

Your pots all look lovely - and that hammock looks very inviting on a hot day like today! Think the mystery plant is a Veronica gentianoides but don't know which one.

Love your garden and your pots aswell.

.......ooooh you have been busy Fluff! It all looks lovely but haven't you found it far too hot to do all that pootling (including the washing) and writing a long blog with all those lovely photos for us to share? The cats must have been worn out just keeping up with you! All I've done today is sit in someone else's garden, chatting and eating from their (unpainted) barbie! Did have to water all my, as yet, unplanted summer bedding when we got back though.....ah well, maybe tomorrow I shall have a pootle too!............

Even hotter tomorrow, Lily.

Thanks Wagger & Clarice ... I'll have to see if I've still got the label Wagger ... I do try to keep ones that I know I won't remember ... but they're in a drawer in the greenhouse & I know for a fact that a big spider lives in there too & I'm scared to peek!!!
Look forward to your pootle Lily ... yes it was a bit warm but it's such a nice thing to do after a week of making bloomon' candles in a hot factory that I just love it.
