Great photos of the Moon. I've tried a couple of times with my digcam & my mobile phone camera but neither produce good results & I end up deleting them.

Years ago, in Spain, I took a lot of photos, with an old fashioned film camera!, of a lunar eclipse. I still have the photos to this day!.

Thanks Balcony ... he did love it ... I had it made by a little company in Cornwall. The pics were a total fluke! Sometimes it just comes out right. I'm not surprised your old camera produced great results ... these digital ones are ok but I need far more expertise with mine.

Thank you Annella & Hywel ... we always get great views of the full moon coming up slowly over the horizon.

Stroller - thank you too ... we are very lucky with the view ...the railway line is right there with a stream & the little ribbons of mist hanging over it are lovely. North Dorset can be much less picturesque than say the coastal parts or the woodlands but our little patch ain't so bad. :o))

Last night I tried taking a photo of the crescent moon & Venus but as I expected they were hardly visible so I deleted it!

No silverbelle it was much earlier but I've just taken the pics! You didn't know I was a moon - gazer did you lol?!!

I wanted a personal house sign Labdancer ... you can have anything you want put on them in all colours ... I just told them & they emailed me a preview. There was a fab red Welsh dragon on one of the examples ... lovely!

Oh Balcony ... that's like me trying to photo the solar lights in the garden ... never get them quite right!

happy birthday to hubby and bet he loves his pressie fluff.. nice moon shots to,, your as nad as me, always taking pic and neighbours think ive gone barmy lol, its hard to get garden lighting on pic, never the same as when we look at it for real ;o(

As for the moon pics, excellent. Suppose it could be worse for the neighbours seeing you stretching out taking picturs of the moon....you could be stretching out of the window mooning at them!!

Ta Dan ... as the years go on the ideas for presents start to wane (pardon the moon pun) but I must say I surpassed myself here with the element of surprise!

I don't think I could forgive myself for the number of ambulances called if the neighbours saw me mooning at them! Council tax would have to rise! ;o)

LOL I always wonder what my neighbours must think of me with my camera in my hand, especially when I'm near their side of the fence taking pictures...makes me wonder if they think I'm a pervert taking secret pictures of THEM in the pool or whatever.
