After a lot of failed attempts to catch my garden lights in a good light … so to speak … I managed to snap them at just the right moment the other night!
It’s great … you can’t see any weeds …

Even the dirty greenhouse glass looks clean!

Michael’s Patch looks tidy too! Not! ( He’d laugh at me don’t worry).

The decking doesn’t look washed out!

These pink flowers have gone blue…

Just a single beacon here for passing ships…!

Dorset piskies dance here under the ballroom lamps…

And lastly my golden globe or silver sphere …

However … in the morning … someone had appeared hanging about on my washing line … Tedward!
I asked him if he’d rather be hung up by his ears or his toes …!

Tedward looks happy to be hanging about on your line...
Your lights look good. On my recent blog, there's my first attempt at photographing garden lights... as you say, you have to catch just the right amount of evening light... Your lights are lovely... :o)

Well done, Fluff, I have never succeeded in catching my lights at the right time yet!
Especially like your globe light and, of course, Tedward :)

Thanks all ... TT - I'll go have a peek at your blog ... I'm so behind with them! It's been a busy time! Thank you for your comments ... yes it is tricky to get the right time to snap!

Thanks Bloomer ... Tedward was a gift to my daughter from a boyfriend who broke her heart & she wanted him gone so I took pity on him & gave him a freshen up before I offer him to next door's little poppet who will love him as he deserves!

Mavis thank you ... every night I look out of Michael's room window & admire the lights!

They don't have to be expensive Lily if you look after them in winter ... get some!

Haha Scotsgran thanks! ... I don't think he got up to much partying cos it rained in the night & he got soaked! He's in the airing cupboard now chatting up a bunny rabbit I'm airing too!

Tedward's very sweet Shirley ... he said my lights were fab too!! Thank you!

Keep at it Kfunsters ... one night will be the right night!!

Hi Cristina ... I think he was a bit drenched for a picnic ... even if he could get down!

Thanks Gee ... I can't stop buying new lights! The globe ones are from the old Woolworths but they are a bit hit & miss ... I've thrown 2 out as they stopped working.

11 Jul, 2010

I've bought several from Wilcos over the last couple of years and two or three of those are now not working :(

11 Jul, 2010

:o( indeed Gee! Money's too precious to waste!

Love your blog and you did well to catch your lights at right time, Gee alot of my lights dont work, and find by the time you buy rechargable batteries its cheaper to get new lights, the ones that dont work i just stick them anywhere in the garden as deco.

11 Jul, 2010

That's what I found too,Clarice, but it is frustrating!

11 Jul, 2010

It must be nice to see them every night. I have 2 but only one is working. I'm thinking of getting some more. They look very nice in your garden.

11 Jul, 2010

Thank you Clarice ... I put one on Michael's grave but it got stolen straight away ... but other people's haven't cos they had the cheaper kind ... maybe that's the trick ... to buy a cheap one for him & they'll leave it alone.

Thanks Hywel ... they make the garden look magical at night. I have a lot of the little cheap ones from Focus ... £2 - 3 each & they seem to keep going!

Loved this, Fluff! Your sola lights are so pretty! Am so glad Tedward didn't get hung up by his toes~all that stuffing would have rushed to his head, poor little thing!!lol! :~))

11 Jul, 2010

Love the lights....magical.

11 Jul, 2010

Thanks Flori ... have you got any lights? Tedward is dry & sweet - smelling now in Michael's room ... haven't seen the little one next door to introduce them yet!

Dotty thank you ... I love my lights too! ;o))

12 Jul, 2010

I am waiting for one of our two sons in law (both electricians) to put some in for us !!!

12 Jul, 2010

You are bonkers woman!!

Garedn lights look nice though!

13 Jul, 2010

Mine are all solar Dotty ... no sparky required lol!

Bonkers I may be Danny Boyo ... but ... the fairies in my garden now know how to speak teddybear now! ;o))

13 Jul, 2010

I have quite a few solar lights too, Fluff, but a lot now need new batteries, which is the downside to it...... :~(((((x

14 Jul, 2010

Hmmm ... sometimes it's cheaper to buy new ones Flori! :o)

14 Jul, 2010

looks lovely fluff, i like the garden lit at night so restfull, love tedwood to ;o))

17 Jul, 2010

Cheers San ... when it's nice enough to sit outside with friends we put a towel over the (extremely bright) outside sensor so it doesn't come on, light candles & then these lights come into their own. Fab!

17 Jul, 2010

yes we have a sensor light problem to fluff, but baz made a switch so can turn it off now, otherwise it was a pain when garden lights were on, not having much chance to sit out lately ;o(

17 Jul, 2010

I think ours lights up the next town 4 miles away! Useful when I'm 'slugging' at night ... until it turns off & leaves me at the far end of the garden in complete darkness!

17 Jul, 2010

lol yes thats what happens to me and i have to wave my hands about to get it on again haha

17 Jul, 2010

Yes! Then the light comes on & you're still waving madly & the neighbours catch you!!

18 Jul, 2010

lol fluff ;o))

18 Jul, 2010

You shoves 'em in and you leave 'em to it ! Aren't solars wonderful .... ! :~))
