Thanks SL! Good news is that they're in a large pot so they can make the move with me!

I'm glad you found it Meanie , I'm pleased to hear you have them in a pot so that you can take them with you :o)

I more tripped over them Amy, as these were not where I thought that they were!!

I lost all mine to the rabbits last year, got them back this year as I managed to block their entrance to the garden this year, I love these.

Michealla - I'm fighting a battle with Lily Beetles on mine this year.

I missed the boat here, didn't know you are moving.
My Fritillaria always surprise me too when they flower!

Lulu - just under two weeks now! Tried to buy it four years ago, but it all fell through.
SL - I'm being selective! The Aconitums come, as does the Asphodeline. My Alstromeria is lifted and raring to go, along with the Uvularia (which is almost in bloom). The wandering Campanula have had runners saved, plus a few other plants.
Thanks Mark!

i lost my uvularia B@*#£y cat's again... that aconitum was the sort of metalic blue wasn't it?
3 Apr, 2012
Believe it or not, I've lost my Polygonatum (Solomons Seal)!
One was the metalicy blue, plus a couple of navy blues too. Best of all, I have seedlings for A.hemsleyanum (a climber). Interested?

that would be great thanks, Really how did that die rot/sawfly?
3 Apr, 2012
B#ggered if I know - there was no trace of it!!
PM me in about three weeks to sort out the details SL.

how odd! Ok many thanks...

Incredible! It looks similar to a tulip. Is it?
4 Apr, 2012
It is of the same family (Lilaceae) as Tulips are, but Fritillaria is a distinct genus.
Lily beetles love them!

lovely fritillaries.

Love that plant will have to get some do they like shade?
8 Apr, 2012
I would have thought full sun really, as in the wild they grow in grass meadows. Would probably take light shade though.

Surreylad - the polygonatum has turned up! Just not where I thought it was!!
8 Apr, 2012
isn't that always the way, my red Dicentra turned up as well...
8 Apr, 2012
I'm sure that it was somewhere else though.............
8 Apr, 2012
is it a fair distance away or could it have spread there and the original died off ?
8 Apr, 2012
Too big a tuber, so it's clearly my memory wandering!
