Yes Kat , it's when you have a long rope with a team of strong men on each end they tie a hankerchief or something similar in the middle of the rope then each team pulls as hard as they can to find out which is the stronger , on our coast they do it across the inlet coming in from the sea which ever team is the loser gets pulled into the sea , they also have a game where they put a round slippery pole across the inlet each person tries to walk or run across needless to say very few people make it to the other side ,it was all great fun .. we have heard the fun day might not take place anymore because the Health and safety people have put their foot in to spoil it , these games have been going on ever since time began so why spoil it now ?

I haven't heard of any serious accidents kat , they have a splash landing in the water , the children queue up to run across the slippering pole ,they love it !
