Which park is this, Janey?

Hi Tog, my usual haunt.....Normanby Hall country park near Scunthorpe. The trees at the back there, were showering the path with leaves.

Looks an ideal place for those walks all year round.

That would be nice Janey ,sorry I can't think of a quicker way of getting you here Karen ! , i'm afraid there's not as many Antique shops in Norwich as there use to be Janey , but we can still find some for you ., they say ebay has spoilt it for them ., I must admit I look on ebay for some items that I collect .. :o)

Ha, Karen....didn't realize you were so far away....:o(

Aw pleased you like it Tetrarch, it did seem weird walking through the snow with Autumn leaves tumbling down....:o)

Thanks Carole and Sheila!....:o)

Yes I can imagine Ebay is tops for antiques and antiquities Amy, Ian's always busy on it, and finding out the value of things, it's great, not for the shopkeepers though....:o(

Does he collect anything special Janey , how are his knees in this weather ?

30 Nov, 2010

These days Amy, he's into musical instruments, especially guitars, mandolins, banjos. He like to do them up supposedly to sell, but they all seem to find a place somewhere here...Lol! Thanks for asking about his knees, they're really bad just now with the cold weather, he's fighting to have them done in spring, though the docs keep putting him off.....must be down to the budgets!...:o((

That's sad , poor Ian , a friend told us the other day in an email that his son was waiting to have his knees done but they won't consider doing them until he is 70 that is wicked ! why should a person have to suffer all those years , his son is only in his 50's ...
Your Ian is clever if he can get musical instruments into good working order ... tell him he must sell some to pay for some more ..LOL...
I collect unusual silver pencils and silver topped perfume bottles .. also spirit levels , ( I know that's strange ) ...
French night latch keys as well ......

Its the same story Amy....Ian has had pain for many years, having had his cartilidges out when he was young. He is only 59 but has been waiting since he was about 50. Nowadays though they'll do the operation more than once, and we've have spoken to people in their 70s who have had them done twice. I think it depends which region your in for the NHS...maybe if he went private it would be a different tale.

Lol I do tell him, but he doesn't like to let go of his babies....:o)) Your collections sound very interesting Amy, it's good to have an interest, I think my collection is mainly animals....we'll soon need a larger house...or a CONSERVATORY!!...Lol
