You soon forget how bad it was last year......must be in for some better weather this year?
You look as if you have a swimming pool there Amy?

Oh dear, poor plants. Hope they are dried out and survived. Hopefully we will have a long hot summer this year.

That looks like most of the gardens around here in north Queensland at the moment!

Amy, I didn't know you had a pond.....

Amy, did you put down a waterproof membrane under the gravel, maybe if you pierce with a spike it may help next summer.
8 Feb, 2009
Yes Ams .. we did put a waterproof membrane down , perhaps we should spike it more ...
We have a problem in that there is a long drive leading to our house which slopes down gradually to us , when we have a lot of rain it runs down like a river , we have dug a gully at our entrance and filled it with shingle hoping that will help !
All the plants survived Gee .. it surprising how quickly the water goes !

We will see if we have solved the problem next time we get a downpour PP .... I think we are all hoping for a nice hot summer to make up for all the strange weather we have had this last year !
