Thanks Labdancer - as the sun was going down this evening the sky behind the blossom was all dark clouds and the sun lit up the blossom so bright! It really was like icing! :-)

LOL! I must be the same generation as your mom...Derekf. I always say that lawn grass is the worst weed...it invades where it's not wanted and won't grow where it is wanted!!

lol - This is just the end section of my garden and there is a little bit of lawn that serves as a path and the rest of the garden is mainly lawn BUT I'd very glady get rid of the lawn altogether! It's far more work than any of the rest of the garden! Sadly I'm not allowed to get rid of it altogether.......but each year it gets a little bit smaller ;-)
