I get my poppies from lots of places Yorks. Most of the garden centres around here sell them, but I got my first ones from Glendoick Garden Centre in Perthshire.

Beautiful Karen, I grew these from seed many years ago (very fiddley) They grew beautifully, flowered beautifully in shade, then vanished:-( Must try again:-)

I'm never sure about them BA, some are biennial and some are perennial (short lived) and some will spread beautifully...never sure which ones, and I think it might depend on their growing conditions as well. Hope you do try again and have better success this time! :)
