That's lovely, Amy. I've seen a low growing Mahonia at the garden centre called Cosmo crawl! It looks lovely but is expensive (nearly £14). I have vouchers to spent so am tempted but I hate paying full price :)

Thanks every-one .... this is covered in flowers , long strings of them and the scent is almost like Lily of the valley ....
Have you got a birthday coming up Gee , you might be lucky enough to get some more vouchers :o)
They do flower for quite a while Dawn , you will have some flowers next year . , :o)

Thanks Kathy and Janey , am lucky in that the Mahonia is right behind the pieris so it means a double dose of scents .... ...

We need Smelly Vision to enjoy your fragrances Amy.. Are they easy to look after, I gave mine some well rotted manure mixed in the soil/compost when I set it and a top coat of growmore.

Dawn i'm ashamed to say I've hardly touched it since I had it , in fact i've been quite cruel to it chopping branches off when it's been to big , I had a shock the first time I took some branches off the sap inside is a vivid yellow and it stains badly , so be careful ..... Please don't tell it that I should be feeding it ...LOL...

These always remind me of lily of the valley in cluster form and the smell is almost the same. DELICIOUS!!!

Hi Amy, I'll watch out for the yellow sap. Its nice to hear they are easy to care for, I like those sort of plants.
