These are looking at their best today - nice and warm with no rain.
Grown from the seeds Simbad sent me.

Food fads have a habit of biting us on the ass Sticki!
It is a stunner Terra.

28 Jun, 2011
Lovely Meanie glad they've done so well for you:-), you've beat me, no flowers open here yet.

Sown last year and over-wintered in the coldframe Simbad.
28 Jun, 2011
that's a beauty..
28 Jun, 2011
And easy too SL!
28 Jun, 2011
salvia again, think i may just do a salvia bed next year !!
28 Jun, 2011
I have six dotted around the beds, plus my Blackcurrant Sage too.
28 Jun, 2011
i see any special needs for them as i have a small'ish space 8' x 6'4" i think would be nice just salvia's ... now that i've got a liking to them !!
28 Jun, 2011
I like blackcurrant sage, it fascinates me, used to have one but I think it died
28 Jun, 2011
Not really - in fact a lot of them are pretty drought tolerant. Just be aware that some can be a little on the tender side. However, some such as s.patens produce tubers that can be lifted and stored as you would a Dahlia.
28 Jun, 2011
It is tender Sticki!
28 Jun, 2011
Wouldn't mind having one again, think I could try and look after it.
28 Jun, 2011
If it sets seeds Sticki.....
29 Jun, 2011
Salvias are becoming top of my list with the dry weather we have had , this is one of my favourites it's very lovely :o))
29 Jun, 2011
They certainly have a plus side!
29 Jun, 2011
If you do manage to collect any seed I would love to try one if you could spare it?
29 Jun, 2011
No probs!
29 Jun, 2011
Oh, thank you that would be good. I promise to find a bit of sun for it somehow!
29 Jun, 2011
Lovely Meanie, mine just coming out!
I grew some from seed this year, still quite small as yet but hope they will flower.
1 Jul, 2011
They should do - once they get going they'll grow rapidly.
1 Jul, 2011
Except a damn slug has just eaten half of it!
1 Jul, 2011
They have eaten all my marigolds - I'm not happy!
1 Jul, 2011
Squish it!
1 Jul, 2011
I put salt on them. Dont want to touch it!
1 Jul, 2011
Wooose!
1 Jul, 2011
Don't care! Salt works!
1 Jul, 2011
I have chucked ash from the woodburner, coffee grounds and tea bags at 'em! I am too wooosey for salt and not that good for the garden. I wish I had bought those half price beer traps now!
2 Jul, 2011
I think meanie should come over and catch them for you! I only put salt on when I find them on the paving.
2 Jul, 2011
At least with the beer traps they'd die happy Lulu, lol.
2 Jul, 2011
Last time I used beer, I put in in bowls...they just drank it, slept a bit, then slithered off!
3 Jul, 2011
Typical!
3 Jul, 2011
Obviously not heavy drinkers Lulu, or just been to their AA meeting :-))
3 Jul, 2011
A SlugAAy meeting!
