Thanks glad you like it:-), this is the hot end of one of my long borders, a bright pink lavateria and a white chrysanthemum have seeded themselves in the top left, bit of a clash of colours, will wait till they've finished flowering then move them, as they look nice together just not were they are.

Awwww, good old Dad. Yes, the rain has perked things up, watering is never like rain is it. I think I'll put a piece of Lysimachia with my Lucifer :-)

Wow Kathy! Gorgeous planting...the colours are lovely together....don't know whats happened to my Lucifer...no flowers this year...:o(

Hi Janey, shame about your Lucifer. Not had mine long but the orange flowering ones I have, flower best when they are lifted, divided and moved elsewhere, not sure if this is the case with Lucifer though.

20 Jul, 2010

I only bought them last year Dawn and they flowered well in pots....then I put them in the garden and they're just leaves...yes I have the orange ones, they've plenty of flowers coming...:o)

20 Jul, 2010

Hopefully they'll flower next year, wonder if they need time to settle.

20 Jul, 2010

Thanks Janey, these sulked a bit when I split and moved them didn't flower for a year, but making up for it now.

21 Jul, 2010

Janey's should be OK next year then. I think I'll split mine too in the Autumn, the more the merrier :-)

24 Jul, 2010

They grow so strangely don't they Dawn one on top of the other, think I remember seeing on gardeners world, Carol Kleine, saying you're supposed to throw the lower down ones as they're old corms? never heard that I just split them and plant them all, seem to grow, have you heard that?

24 Jul, 2010

Hi Kathy, no not heard of that, I do find with the orange ones though that after a few years they stop flowering, so maybe there is some truth in this, although I've not had Lucifer long enough to know its habits.
