Yes , TT it is and it does have membrane under it to stop the weeds, every morning I put a selection of small seeds in the hollows in this flint stone for the little birds but Fred has sussed it and tries to get there first.. LOL..

Yes we have TT .. mainly because there's a lot of Mares Tail in the field next to us and it's a constant battle to try to stop it from spreading across our garden , it's already creeping under a fence at one side , it is very difficult stuff to get rid of ...

Sandra he is a bully , he charges in and pushes the others aside to get his share ...Gee he has his fair share and more besides of whatever is going ..
Janey sad to say we haven't seen Charlie since the end of last winter , I hope it was old age and not a pheasant shoot :o( ..

Fred is a prickly pheasant
pushing other pheasants out
and when it comes to feeding time,
he pecks the food about.
He's not a pleasant pheasant
he provokes the other birds,
with his powerful plumage presence
and his rasping birdsong words.

We had a pheasant visit this garden last winter but haven't seen him this winter. Have heard their rasping calls over in the fields though so they are about.Glad you enjoy the verse. I just can't help putting words to verse sometimes.

We are in the middle of a market town , it always surprises me when Fred comes back every year , he knows he's safe and will be fed !
