Thank you girls , i'm pleased that you like it ..... the funny thing is that when I bought this I didn't know what it was , I bought it in a plant sale , they had a pile of shrubs without names , we had an empty garden at the time and I was buying almost anything to fill it .... for anyone thats thinking of getting one I have to warn you that it is approx 10ft tall now .. I expect it could be prunned to keep it smaller !

Ahh Dawn , you've got lots of nice things I haven't , pool and lake I'm allowed one thing ....LOL....
Funny I was thinking about the Peaches today , I pruned mine so much i'm afraid I might not have any peaches , I hope so , I'll keep my fingers crossed !
My Mistletoe is still alive , is yours ?

10 Feb, 2010

Hi Amy, I'm sure your peach will be fine - John did pruned ours too, so we'll see.
Yes, mistletoe looks like its surviving the cold conditions - still just has little suckers - when did your's come into leaf Amy - Spring I presume.

It hasn't had any leaves yet Dawn ! It's taking so long i'm still waiting , the little shoots are still green and alive , I hope something happens this spring , I will be so excited when it has some leaves .. ..

My son has taken over an Allotment near where he lives , he says it's huge and was completely overgrown with rubbish , he has come across a very large overgrown peach tree badly in need of a prune , he has attacked it and taken it down in size he's worried that he might have killed it .. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for him because the boys loved the peaches when they were here ............

13 Feb, 2010

Hi Amy, I'll start checking mine for leaves regularly now then, we'll have to compare notes.
Your son's allotment sounds exciting Amy, sounds like he's got the gardening bug from you, super stuff. I hope the peach survives and how lucky to get one on the site.

I will be keeping an eye on my Mistletoe Dawn I'll let you know if anything happens !

Ian had a small allotment before , I think he has kept that on as well as this big one , it must be big because he said you can hardly see the other end ... he has made a frame for the peach tree and put a shed on site he takes his two little boys up there at the weekends , they love it and can't wait for the light evenings ... . . We bought him loads of packets of seed at christmas to get him started ..

I think its great that Ian has gardening in his genes and like you say, its so good for the boys.
