After a couple of murky rainy days, today turned out to be warm and misty.....perfect for uprooting all those weeds I couldn't get out when the ground was hard and dry....had a quick clear round too, a few Cosmos had to go.....amazing how quickly the wheelbarrow is filled!

Glad you agree Michaella.
Lol Janey, my barrow is usually full of ghastly perennial weeds.

I was thinking the same....the barrow full of blooms (weeds too, you say....but....they look so pretty). But it's that time of year to clear out the borders so well done, Janey.

You´ve been busy Janey. I always have problems throwing out anything that isn´t actually dead! If it´s still flowering, it stays, not always the best policy I know.

It's almost a shame to have them out Janey , they look so pretty and make a great picture :o)

had a bit of a clear up myself...it does make you feel better & as you say it`s amazing how much mounts up!

Busy you, but it will well worth the effort.

Thanks San....you know I didn't get round to emptying the barrow so now it's full of water too....:o(( Well behind those Cosmos was my new pink Hebe trying to show-off, so needed to see it....:o)
Thanks Amy.....I know I didn't really want them out but with other things behind....like my Hebe and a Dahlia I didn't know was there, and the Cosmos have grown so tall this year??
It does Elsie....you know you've made a start then....I've so much Nepeta too that has nearly taken over....it'll have to go, oh if only I had a bigger garden.......
It will Tog....I've really squashed things in this year...and I could feel them all elbowing each other for space....:o)

They are San....this is a hardy one (I hope) and should grow into a largish shrub...:o)

fingers crossed janey ;o)

Janey I have been saying the same thing" If only we had a bigger garden" have to keep everything under control so all the plants have space to grow...... put in smaller cosmos this year as last year they smothered lots of new plants, love this clearing up time though...moving and re-designing areas. (I dont think the plants like it though) lol

Yes Dd...you find all these hidden treasures clamboring for light and space. I shall be saving my pennies next year....no more tall annuals and spending it on soil improver and pebbles for my planned drought tolerant border....:o) Could do with a sign up...all silver leaves this way please...Lol!

I dont like parting with anything either but having a small garden and cramming everything I see in somethings just have to go, loathe the parting though;0(
