I love the tapestry colours on this flowering Euphorbia bract. Different shades of green and the tiny reddish pink flowers, it is a quiet winter beauty....:o))

It reminds me of that lovely Origanum 'Kentish Beauty' that I would love to grow if only it were warmer here!

Thanks Girlies,...I do believe it is Euphorbia amygdaloides purpurea Moti, and these winter flowers are actually the summer ones which I've left on! It is such a huge spray, and pretty with it, so I shall leave it till the new growth takes over. It's a really dark green leaf, with red new growth....shall take a pic in a few weeks time.....
I'm sure it would do well in your garden Karen, they are tough cookies aren't they, I love them all from the vast giants to the tiny lime-green dwarf ones, like Mum used to grow by her rockery....:o))

Well well, I have this already! Not quite looking like this at the moment though...I shall leave the flowers on this year! :))

Yes do Karen, this is only the second year for my plant, and had just the one huge spray of flowers or bracts, I was loathe to clip it of in the autumn, pleased I left it now!

Yup, so am I! :~)
