It's gorgeous and well ahead of the others , :o)

So it should be in a (slightly) heated greenhouse! The other pot has I. danfordiae in it - I planted some last year outside, and the pesky pigeons SAT on them! :-(((( I shall enjoy those too - very soon.

Thanks - it was worth growing them in a pot to see the sheer perfection of the flower! There might be more open today. :-)

Its beautiful ......

Badgers, pigeons! Are you opening a wildlife reserve there? Definitely best to keep these where you can see them, so beautiful.
24 Jan, 2010
I wish they'd all go away, Wagger! Bs and Ps I mean. LOL. They drive me round the twist, but badgers are the worst, of course. However. the pigeons are so heavy when they land on my plants, and then walk around the flowerbed, that they do squash flowers and plants flat! My Heuchera 'Amethyst Mist' got sat on - I've lifted it, and potted it up to see if I can save it. It looked like a pancake!
Hence the pretty pots in the greenhouse. :-)

Heuchera 'Pancake' - that has a ring to it, you could market it as a new hybrid.
25 Jan, 2010
Nobody would buy it, though. :-(((

Vertically challenged people might!

Do you know the story called 'Flat Stanley'? It would suit him - honestly! LOL.

Just been to Youtube and listened to the song - think I'll stick with Bob the Builder. LOL
26 Jan, 2010
A song? I didn't know about that! I used to read the book to my own children and my class, too. They loved it!
26 Jan, 2010
If you go to www.flatstanley.com you can pick up the link to the song - if you can bear it! LOL

26 Jan, 2010
Yes - I'm glad I did this - I have a pot of I. danfordiae as well.
26 Jan, 2010
squirrels ate mine last year :o( will get some more soon hopefully.
26 Jan, 2010
Pigeons SAT on my danfordiae - as they did with the Heuchera! They stood NO chance.
26 Jan, 2010
there are some really fat birds about not including me!!
26 Jan, 2010
There are three out today! I shall take another photo when they're all out.
No pigeons are allowed in the greenhouse. :-((((
