Very bright flowers! I'm guessing it can't grow outside all year. Pelargonium commonly grows in the street medians and wild along the freeways here. It does look very pretty in full bloom in winter.

Paul they flower all summer long, thanks Sheila, we use them for the pots outside for some extra umph!!
Delonix no for summer bedding only, will flower until first frost, then bought in for the winter, would love to see it flowering outside in your winter.....

Pelargonium blooms all year, here in San Diego. It appears most noticeable during winter. Not sure why...maybe the sun's angle (a little lower in the sky).

I think you would love to see the medians on the blvd by my house. They are very widely planted with Jacaranda trees, Queen palms, Eucalyptus citriodora, Orchids trees (Bauhinia), Natal plums, Pelargonium (many colors), Lantana (many colors), Indian Hawthorn, Daylilies (which bloom all year), and Bird-of-Paradise (which bloom from: Sept - May).
