EGYPTION GEESE AND BABIES

Not strictly gardening I know, but they are very close to my house. I’ve been watching their progress since Sunday, when there were 3 goslings. After the very heavy snow on Monday I wondered if they would survive, but here they are.
I have been feeding them with seed as suggested by GOY members and they are becoming quite tame. The problem is trying to keep the other geese/ducks/pigeons away.
I can’t imagine why they are so early. There are a few other geese of this type in the park but none have babies.
I do hope they are visible in the photograph.

Very early Ginellie - do they migrate ?

I'm sure they will - they don't seem to worry about the cold. ...Let's hope there aren't any urban foxes around though!
Great photos - they are clear to see!

No I don't think they do migrate Bonkersbon - well, the Egyptian ones don't, the Egyption ones might!
A lot of foxes around here Spritz but a lot of crows too, so who to blame for the one who disappeared?
I'll be checking everyday and maybe get a bit closer in a week or so.

UK cold shouldn't hurt geese but uncontrolled pets and foxes might I'm afraid. All the same it's wonderful to see and SO encouraging. Now, are you going to build a hide to watch over these beautiful youngsters I wonder?

Wow, how strange they have young so early. Looks like they are being well looked after by the parents and yourself with the feed :-) I do really hope they stay safe.
