hahahaha Grandmage I have never laughed so much, my sides are aching, its the first of your pics, just seeing your hubbys legs emerging from the butt, what they do for us eh!!!

Too true Dido, bless him he does all sorts for me but this one was important as we do need to save rain. I nearly commentated on the fact that there are two butts in the first picture but I thought I had better not!! Thank you.

No rain for months? wow & I thought it was bad here when it didn't rain all week! We've had temps of 30-40 this week & I've been watering sometimes 2x a day. Finally had a good one last night though...a little cooler tonight =)

Hi Floralh, we still havnt had any rain to date and things are desperate ! Yesterday was 31 here and promised the same today! We even might be on hosepipe ban before long, so not good ! Glad though it is a little cooler for you.:))

Yeah that is crazy...is it humid as well there? The only place I have visited far away from me would be Mexico & it was just as humid there as it is here. I went to Florida once & it didn't seem as humid there but I went in Dec.
Today's forecast it 29 but we also have what's called a 'humidex level' & it's at 34 degrees.
The next 4 days temps are going to be 30-30-29-30. It's getting muggy already & it's only 930 in the morning.

Hi Grandmage, I have just been reading your blog, and laughing at your photo, your OH is a really good sport isn't he., I could do with one like him, has he got a brother??? only joking! But it is nice to have sopmeone around like him to do the jobs you cant.
Well I guess by now you have had some rain, and I hope the leak is sealed good and proper. We have had 2 or 3 really good downpours yesterday and today., I have to keep dodging them, why cant it rain at night, as heavy as it likes!!
By the way I love all your photos,your garden looks beautiful. I haven't learned how to post photos yet, but I'm working on it.lol

Thanks D,mum, my husband has a twin by the way !! but he is married too!!!! Lol, yes we did get a little rain today not nearly enough though but its a start ! I tell you its easy to do the photos, now if I can anyone can! I just did it step by step, you will manage, cant wait to see your photos too.

Oh Grandmage I thought it was you in the butt at first because you said that YOU had decided to get things sorted. Then of course the penny dropped as I followed the story and photos down the screen. Your hubby is a good man, like mine. He would have done the same too.
We've had quite a bit of rain in our part of Cumbria but it soon dries out and tonight the garden needed a good drink. No hose pipe ban here.

Felinfan, thanks :0)) Hello Simplylyn, we are lucky to have good hubbies to 'do' all the hard jobs, aren't we? We are still waiting for rain here everything is dried to a crisp and my garden looks nearly over!!!! Even if we have torrential rain we still think it wont do much for the garden or the butt ! in fact we still think the butt has a small leak which is a pain as we havn't had it that long ! Oh well, onwards and upwards, always something to do!

Oh Grandmage it has taken me so long to get to your blog but it was sosooooo worth the wait!!!!!!. I laughed so much I was in stiches. Your OH is such a good sport. He is now an international superstar. I have read all your comments and he now has admirers (LOL) from Canada, Belguim, Nepal, Wales and the whole of the UK fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Just what I needed a good laugh. I do hope you and I , us Londoners lol get some decent rain very soon. Hope when we finally get some rain your water butt holds! Otherwise OH will have his head stuck init again.

Think Great he will have to seal it again, its a bloomin nuisance really because the butt is fairly new but began leaking through the winter when we had loads of rain, we had a little rain about two weeks ago (an inch) and the butt still looks damp at the bottom seal, we might even end up getting another one!!! However we wont give up yet, we do need the rain to fall dont we, desperately ! Glad I made you laugh and half the world too !!! :0)))
