Lets hope this year will bring us all much happiness in our gardens, lots of beautiful flowers, shrubs, fruit and veggies, also the kind touch of receiving nice messages on Goy from some very dear friends, made, who would have thought it, on the internet! Here’s to good photos and funny blogs, cheers, one and all. Let 2011 be great with lots of sunshine :~)

Lots of "sunshine" in those beautiful flowers! Just the treat in these dull overcast days we have been having! Even as I write this the sun is, timidly, showing itself!

Happy New Year 2011 (Hadn't realised the combination of numbers yet, not having had to write the date down yet!)

Beautiful colourful flowers, love the day lilies. Soon will be the year of the Dog this year, the date above adds to 4 which is classed as very unlucky to numerolgist, who study numbers.

Sticki & Bloomer that plant is 'Aeschynanthus'!! it can be put in hanging baskets or into summer displays but it has to be kept inside for winter, I keep it as a house plant and it usually rewards us with a beautiful display of flowers come October -December. I have photos on here of it in full flower.
Balcony I laughed at you not having to write the date down! I know what you mean by that, sometimes I never have to write the date, hence I always have to ask,' what is the date today'? But this one grabbed my attention for the reason that it is very unique. Happy new year to you and all. Thanks Paul.
6d, year of the dog, eh? Our grandson son calls dogs, woofies!, bless him, so its the year of 'woofies' Lol.

Its the Chinese year which is devided for 12 animals each animal has its own element, water, metal, wood, etc which only comes around once every 60 years with the (animal and element) of when you were born.

Thanks San, same to you too, just yearn for a drop of sunshine!!
6d, when i worked we used to celebrate chinese new year, any excuse for a nosh, however I have never looked up my chinese horoscope. Perhaps I was born in the year of the 'woofie?

2 Jan, 2011

Lol Grandmage I like your excuse for a nosh. The link above will tell you what animal you were born under.

2 Jan, 2011

I will look, thanks, it just that you mentioned the number 60 !! Lol.

2 Jan, 2011

Yes the animals repeat them selves once every twelve years but the animal plus element only once every 60 years eg, year of the fire horse will be 1966, the next time it comes around, will be 2026
