Thalictrum Black Stockings

So pleased to see this meadow rue in my garden today.
It was planted last year so this is its first time flowering.
The colour is true on the close-up pic, it’s a slightly pinky mauve but more lavender than pink.
The black stems are very striking.

It is very attractive, Stera, the colour stands out so well too. It's doing pretty good for its first year.

I was going to get a Black Stockings, but delayed as haven't really any room and my Thalictrum, which I've had for several years, turns out to have dark stems, which I hadn't really noticed before.

Very pretty I must say! It's such a vibrant colour as well! The black stems are quite unusual but set off the flower heads wonderfully! Would mind one for the balcony but I fear it would get too big & crowd me out! ?
