Falkirk Wheel

No flowers or plants in this blog but I thought people may be interested in our visit to the Falkirk Wheel today.
It was built for the Millenium and is the only revolving boat lift in the world.
It is a spectacular engineering feat and a trip on it is great experience. It takes 8 minutes to revolve.
It joins the Union Canal to the Forth/Clyde canal

one boat and barge on top
one boat at bottom

on the move

half way

nearly there

boat and barge down on ground level

view from Forth/Clyde canal sioe

found those photos o previous visit which show side view and top landing
