Out on a Lymm

Yesterday we traveled across the vast expanse of Cheshire passing Warrington (now a European town) no wonder we passed it. lol. Onwards to a lovely place near Lymm where we visited a fellow forumer and her Dog ‘Rosie’ Oh and her husband who while not too well up on plant names is very useful in helping create the most beautiful natural garden.
It was our second visit and like the first the garden was still full of interest, character and colour.
As a bonus we were taken across the road to ‘The Viccarage Gardens’ where we enjoyed a wild path walk leading to a large garden with the most interesting plants, some I’ve not seen before. Most had names to them but I’m hoping someone will help with those that didn’t.
The day flew by as there was so much to see but our hosts found time to take my other half to see her Arab horse ‘Sunshine’. Oh used to ride so with me on foot behind she rode ‘Sunshine’ for a mile or two and was in her ellement as she’d not riden for years. This morning she had a sore bum and walked a bit funny but said it was well worth it.
I took some nice pics of both gardens which I’ll upload for you.

A new shady place to sit on those hot afternoons lol

Close by athe gravel area and pond complete with Monster breathing smoke!!

More shots of this lovely garden

Beautiful flowers at the Viccarage but no name?

Lonicera ???

A nice blue shrub, anyone know it’s name?

Who could forget ‘Rosie’ ?

Lovely gardens....the golden coloured bush is spectacular (will it be that colour now as it's autumn, do you know?

Rosie is a gem too :)

The first photo I can imagine transplanted into the rear corner of our garden...it looks near to how I would like the corner of our garden to be...mix of limestone slabs and the gravel, complete with roses and planting....and a small tree.

Thanks for the lovely tour of both gardens. Glad you had a nice visit.

I'm sure that Cristina will be pleased by your complements, it really is a very nice friendly, floriferous, natural and interesting garden. As for the 'herbaceous hibiscus', well true it does look a bit like a 'Bluebird' but the stems are dark and 'annual like'.

Whistonlass, I don't know if the colour will change much later, that pic was taken mid-August and it's roughly the same today.
