Have you missed me? This season with all its snow, ice and rain has been dreary. I’ve made so many hospital rounds lately, I’m thinking I should have been a physician! I think the snow got all my cereus, butterfly bushes, and bleeding hearts – even though they were wrapped as snug as a bug in a rug. Enough whining already! On Friday, we got out and went to a Farm estate sale, and just look what we found.
Now, let’s get right to the “heart of the matter!” I needed one of these for my upcoming cactus corner. So, being the fearless woman that I am, I asked the proprietor if we could pinch a few leaves; she graciously acknowledged that we could. And, they are now incubating, right next to the cousin Brazilian prickly pear! Wow, I’m excited. (and we have snow forecast for today)
Now, we can start thinking Spring and flowers, and cactus, and WARM!

Hywel, thank you for your concern; my mother and aunt have been in and out of the hospital as senior citizens sometimes are. My husband and I just plan our routes accordingly.

As for the snow, absolutely not normal. It's just been really chilly here this year! And the last one was a record snow!

Sorry your family have been ill.I do hope they are on the mend now..We all feel the same here too,about the weeather,and we have had another 2 " of snow,this morning.Thankfully,not icy,so thawing already.Hope your cacti cuttings do well,something to look forward to,as is the springtime ..eventually...
