FROG......

This year i havnt seen a frog in my pond.. i had a few last year and wondered if they had died in the winter……
so i was very pleased to see a little face peeping out of the water soldiers the other day…. my frog was back.. well at least one..lol
so lovely to see him….went and grabbed the camera to take some picks also pic of butterfly round pond which i think is a gatekeeper…

Great photos! I have a very small pond, but the frogs come back to spawn every year. This year I had 19 frogs in my pond at once - and needless to say - ended up with a lot of frogspawn and hundreds of tadpoles - some of which are still here.
Lovely butterfly picture, too.

Lovely photos of your friendly frog, Holly. When I had a pond in my last home I used to love lying in bed at night and hearing them call for the first time each year - made me smile! It's strange - I have the village pond just the other side of my back fence but I never get any frogs in my garden :(

A lovely froggy blog, pleased your little frog is back, thats what I like best about my pond the frogs there are three regulars at the moment!

lovely pics holly of froggy,, havent seen mine for a bout a week now, but im sure they are around, lovely gatekeeper pic to, my water soldiers have babies, have your, thought i had flowers till we had all that wind and now nothing,but still like them

It's wonderful you have seen a frog at last and shown us photos of him.

Lovely little frog. We never get them in our pond but our fish are large so maybe they are scared to enter the water der d, derd etc (Jaws theme.)

Dont worry Hollyeves they are amazingly resillient have found them in watering cans and even a discarded ice cream tub that had collected water previous owner had left old tyres and frogs inside them too !

i have loads of grasses round the pond, so lots of places for them to hide..: O)
LOL..BB fancy them being in old tyres and an ice cream tub....

Awww bless him i love frogs sadly we no longer have a pond, but i still get them in an old dustbin lid in a corner of the garden.
