Goldfinch

Great photos Holly, aren't we lucky to have such beautiful birds around. Never seen them eating these before!

i agree very good photos and we are very lucky to be able to see them in our gardens, I always get excited when I see them, they are so bright and cheerful.

These pictures are good enough for 'Spring Watch.'

Brilliant....you managed to get great close ups Holly.
We have had a pair of Goldfinches in our garden from time two time over last two years.They are obviously nesting in a garden along the road but we are the only ones to hang to Niger seed...they love it! strangely, I 've never seen them on my Teasels which I've grown on purpose for years nor on my Perennial cornflowers!!!!

They are very beautiful birds - well done to have your camera handy! Do you put our niger seed for them, to get them all the year rund?

Thanks steragram, no need to put niger seed out here as they are here all the time in this area. I do put bird seed out in winter.....
