More trellises

The long border of my garden between it and the next property had become an overgrown tangle and looked a mess.
I had put plastic mesh there for climbers to grow on and they had become saggy and started falling away. The climbers had become too big as well, so I thought it was time to take action.
I cut back all the plants, including the tall Roses and Clematises, and some very thick Euonymuses too.
Then I removed the plastic mesh and some old rotten posts that held fenses in the past.
My garden-helping lady came yesterday and between us we put the new posts in the ground, secured with ready mixed cement … and then screwed the trellises on with some brackets.
The fences look nice but the rest looks awful at the moment,
however next year I’ll be able to train the climbers nicely on the new trellises, and then it won’t look so bad :)

looks a great job Hywel , a lot of my back garden has made me disintgerested - always soggy and scruffy most of the year.
Lovely trellises there - and will look lovely when the climbers get established

Thank you both :)
I've never seen any photos of a scruffy garden with you Paul !
Hope April and mother are doing ok.

Well you can't be doing the garden when there's a little baby to attend to can you Paul - your life isn't your own any more !
It's good to know she is well ...

Well done Hywel, it's a good feeling when your plans start taking shape. I do like the pattern of the trellis.

Thank you Shirley, they are from B&M Bargains but were not cheap !
They seem sturdier than the square pattern ones

Ha, nothing is cheap these days! I hope they prove to be very sturdy for you ... :o)

that looks wonderful Hywel. Much nicer than the plastic mesh. Once the plants grow back it will be even better.
