hi all
i just thought i would show you some of the the pumpkins & marrows we grew on the allotment..
the biggest marrow..front middle of pic was 8lbs & made a lovely soup with chilli peppers onion garlic & ginger…
as you can see the heaviest pumpkin weighed just over 9lbs..
and the smallest was 1/2lb ..i have grown them for halloween for my grandchildren and Logan has claimed the "cute baby one "…as well as a bigger one of course
this was the average weight of the other marrows..
and this 4lb one we brought home yesterday..along with the last of the bumpy cucumbers lol..
i made these with my granddaughter.. not a pumpkin i know..i had none left lol..
a bit cold & damp here today, just off to the allotment.. happy halloween..

You've certainly had a successful harvest of marrows and pumpkins. That last photo of the carved marrows is quite cute...puts a whole new spin on "being green." lol

thank you Ladies,yes we had quite a good harvest considering we have not grown them before ..11 in total including one that got away (stolen) lol.only used the soil that was on the plot.. with added manure ,they are sooo easy to grow and the seeds came from last years pumpkins too.
