Well, more of a pleasant walk really. Lovely mild November sunshine and blue sky yesterday, Sunday.
Took our daily ‘allowed’ exercise during lockdown 2, along the Humber estuary right next to where we live.
I know it’s not a gardening pic, but, well, it’s cheering..
Lots of dog walkers, cyclists, runners and folks ambling along, social distancing.

It's good that you can go for a walk in a nice place by the sea, there's plenty of fresh air and you had beautiful sunshine too :)

I love the shark! Lucky you, to have such a pleasant area to wander around.

good view of the Deep Katie. It is a lovely walk around there. The Humber always looks moody.

Have you eaten at Nibbles? which is down some steps near Berts? We found it back in October when we had a day out at the Deep.

Looks like a nice day for a walk. What is that very strange building in the first photo? It has an odd dreamlike quality and makes me uneasy! That's a beautiful shot of the street in the town, with the way the sun catches the brickwork. You have a real gift for composing a good pic Kate!

Thanks for sharing your walk Kate ... lots of lovely things to see.

Thanks Hywel and Ange, it was a lovely day, fresh air and sunshine. They almost finished the new flood defences, which look ok. Nice brick walking and several lock gates along the way. The shark usually has children clambering over it!
Thanks Eileen. Yes! ‘Nibbles’ is quite hidden isn’t it! Nice little place to eat or have a coffee. A bunch of us from work went August last year for the first time - a couple couldn’t find it at first!
Sue, the first pic is ‘The Deep’ which is an award winning huge aquarium, a fantastic place to visit. The street which I took a pic of, was redeveloped several years back, it’s still ongoing. Lots of new homes, apartments, restaurants, bars and unique shops, etc. It all links to the Old Town area.
Thanks for your compliment!
Thank you Shirley, very kind of you.

Well its in a good place for an aquarium. Does it have fresh sea water flowing through it?

Sue the Deep has complex systems for managing the various tanks but doesn't take in water directly from the Humber too muddy and as its an estuary the salt content varies too much. It is the largest of its type in Europe and is a regular day out for us.
I has a colony of penguins too. From the middle of the Humber it looks like the prow of a ship, really stunning.

Sounds really interesting Eileen!

Eileen has nailed it! Sorry Sue, just got in from work and seen your post. 👍

Just catching up again Kate! It is an interesting walk and the mild weather would have made it a lovely walk too! I had heard of the Deep but wasn't sure what it actually was. I also like the last photo of the Mariner. We both love walking alongside water wherever it is!

That’s a great place to exercise Kate, a lovely estuary, harbour and cobbled street, so much to make you feel alive, thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Klahanie, Rose and Julien. Much appreciated!!! The wires have lights on, Klahanie. It looks pretty along this area at night.
There’s an old street called ‘land of green ginger’. It’s amazing, we had a mystical, fantasy based parade with music a couple of November’s ago. Lots of history too..
