Pink-ish colours potted up - can't believe my blog posted!!!

My lavender plants were pretty ropey in the trough at the front. I decided after the 2nd year of dismal looking plants, I’d remove and pop a few annuals in for the remainder of summer into early autumn.

Thank you Ange and Janey. Many of my neighbours have similar things here. It's lovely to see. Mostly troughs or pots with bedding plants in or a mix of mini evergreens with added flowers to the mix.

I love the trough Kate and all the flowers you put in it.
I am pleased your blog went through with pictures as most people were saying it wasn't working , I ended up putting lots of pictures up instead of a blog!

That's a coincidence, only this last week I have removed the lavender from the rose bed as it too had gone leggy and very woody, I replanted with antirrhinums for a dash of colour, now the trick is trying to keep them alive, we've had hardly any rain for weeks, except a bit of drizzle that dries before it even lands, the poor garden is really suffering as am I, it doesn't agree with me now Kate.....The trough looks pretty in pink Kate.x

Thank you, Rose, I'm pleased you like it! Just hope it will survive through til the cold weather onset.
I'm so happy that the blogs are working again, I hope! It's the reason I was doing a collage. Just so I could put some pics together. Just hope the site is on the way back up 🤞

Sue, my potted lavenders have really struggled, so after 2 or 3 years, I'll stick to my ground planted ones.
It is keeping an eye on our newly planted blooms isn't it! We have had virtually no rain, after all that fell in Spring too.
OH waters the back garden and I do out front. I cam understand you struggling in the heat, Sue. My Dad really struggled in Amsterdam and he always liked the sun and the heat. I can take it, but, after a while, I'm finding things to do. Thanks so much for liking the trough, it needed some cheering up. Best wishes x

Thanks so much, Hywel. I'm trying to prolong the summer ;-))

Not everyone likes lavender as you say, Eileen. OH's mum isn't keen either.
I've decided no more in pots. I can't seem to make them thrive.
Thanks for liking the change I've made, I'm happy with the result :-))

What a nice welcome for visitors. There's very few who bother to do this on our estate and it does cheer the place up if it's done.
